Choosing a removalist?
It is difficult to know which removalist to choose. Ask for referrals or talk to real estate agents or solicitors etc where the removalist is based. Word of mouth is usually reliable. Also check that the removalist is an Australian Furniture Removers Association (AFRA) member. To be an AFRA member the removal company undergoes a rigorous application process and has to guarantee to operate to a minimum service and to strict standards, policies and code of conduct. Do I pack my own cartons, or do I get the removalist to do it for me?
Lynns can prepare and pack all your cartons if you choose. If you decide to pack your own cartons Lynns can advise you on how to go about it.
Where can I obtain cartons?
Cartons can be obtained from various suppliers or Lynns can sell you tea chest and book cartons, port-a-robes and picture cartons.
Storage - If I require storage how do I go about it?
At Lynns we can assist in arranging all your storage needs. Lynns also has a modern, secure storage facilitiy for any size removal, long or short term.
Insurance - what type of insurance do I need?
There are different types of transit insurance available, we can explain them to you. Transit insurances are not automatic, so be sure you are covered.
How much notice will be required?
As much notice of your removal dates is favoured, the earlier the better. This is to avoid missing out on the date you need to move.
What to do about any special items that are to be moved?

Can I move plants?
Plants can be moved. We at Lynns will instruct you in the procedure of moving plants.
How are my belongings cared for in the furniture van?
We use the best packaging materials. All furniture and household items are wrapped in thick furniture felt. We treat all furniture as if it was new and as it were our own.
